  25. This is one of those things which "sometimes fails." An irq conflict
  26. is a time bomb, and is VERY likely to cause problems sooner or
  27. later, in this case sooner. If you can use another irq for the modem
  28. you are very likely to have it work, and if it doesn't you will know
  29. that the conflict is not the problem, which is still helpful.

  31. I usually use irq5 if available, or 2. 7 is the lpt irq, you might
  32. really want that. I haven't seen the internal 28.8 recently, so I
  33. can't say if the 16 bit irq's are available, if so try 10.
